@jackmartincolorist: This stunning client visited me for a customized grey blending transformation. #saloncentricpartner To begin, I prepped her hair with K18 Hair Mist to protect and strengthen before lightening. I then foiled ultra-fine sections using Redken Flash Lift Power 9 (with built-in bonder) and 20-volume developer, carefully leaving her natural root untouched. Once the hair lifted to a clean level 10 pale blonde, I rinsed, towel-dried, and pre-toned with Redken Shades EQ: ¼ 10VV + ¾ 10P + double Clear (00), processed for 20 minutes. After a second rinse and drying to 80%, I applied Shades EQ 10T for 30 minutes to refine the tone. For dimension, I added lowlights with Matrix SoColor Sync 6T and 10-volume developer, mimicking her natural root pattern. (Pro tip: lowlights over silver help the color fade more softly and avoid brassiness.) To protect the silver tones, I applied conditioner over the silver strands before rinsing the lowlights. Then I used K18 Damage Shield Shampoo (no conditioner) and finished with K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Mask for deep repair and the Molecular Repair Oil for heat protection and frizz control. I trimmed about an inch off her length and added soft face-framing layers to enhance her features. I styled it using round brushes and finished with K18 Astrolift for body and all-over volume.
