My mom was in hospice and when we went to see her she had forgotten who I was. It was heartbreaking but immediately after we went to bring a gift to my monster-in-law for her birthday. I was obviously upset, my MIL asked what was wrong and I couldn't help but cry. She told the whole family I ruined her birthday.

A year ago I lost one of my very best friends, who also happened to be my husband’s cousin on his dad’s side. We asked my monster in law to help out with our kids, her grandkids, so I could go say goodbye (brain death) and help out with the family. I was gone for a total of 4 days, two of those days were spent driving. She started a fight the day I got back, said it was disrespectful to her for me to even go over there in the first place…. Longer story short, we are now no contact.
