@Jenn June: I think what we should consider is a person can experience multiple truths to a given situation. You can feel (and condemn) political violence and believe his death was so wrong. AND, you can own your own feelings and experiences by what CK said and done.

I never thought about the fact that it needed to be separated into two distinct categories. The relief about the bigotry and hatred will stop and the emotional sadness of his life being taken, especially because he had a wife and children who did not deserve to lose him, and for that I have felt just awful for the past week.

I never once doubted his intentions and I for one thought that it was refreshing to see somebody in the political arena have a heart. He was directly affected and he debated Charlie so I would expect he would have an emotional response to it. I don’t know how anybody, regardless of how you feel about Charlie could watch that video and not have an emotional response to it.

You are allowed to be scared and afraid in the horror of the moment Dean. The hate and divisions in this country were only exacerbated by this event, and everyone’s emotions were running high. In the aftermath, we need to focus on the eradication of gun violence in this country once and for all. If only both sides could stop the accusations and do something positive for a change. Unfortunately, I know that is pure wish thought.

Well to me, I never really gave a hoot about this Charlie Kirk guy yes I heard a lot of the stuff radical stuff and racist stuff that he would say and I would think to myself how can a person be so hateful what happened to this person to be that hateful so when he got pew pew the only thing that came to my mind was he got what he asked for in his own words, public execution, and one of his own, took him up on it to prove him right🙄
