My husband is an avid runner, literally 1000’s of miles every year! He said you need to do track workouts once a week and a few long but slow runs focusing on low heart rate!

Keep running! Also don’t forget the importance of building up those leg and core (and even arms) those muscles support the whole run! I was running a 12 min mile I only run once a week and now I’m running a 10 min mile. Just walking and lifting most other days. I also recommend interval training for speed work. You have to train your body to move quicker. You’ll get there! Just look how far you’ve come!
