Obama got slammed by Fox all the time - called it a misinformation machine - but he never tried to cancel shows, still even did interviews with them. Clinton was mocked nightly during the Lewinsky scandal and never censored anyone. Carter, LBJ, JFK… all dealt with brutal press and satire, none of them tried to take shows off the air. Trump, on the other hand, repeatedly called/calls for specific shows or hosts to be punished (Alec Baldwin on SNL, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, NFL broadcasts, even individual news anchors) He even reportedly asked the DOJ and FCC to investigate or punish late-night comedians - something no past president, left or right, ever did. Watching from EU it’s scary how many of you are not just accepting this but cheering it on 😳 250 years of democracy is enough, it's about time for something new... or old 🤔 ....O'er the land of the free... Sorry...Unfreedom

No biggie - Kimmel can start his own live streaming channel anywhere and viewers and advertisers will follow. There's hardly any reason left to watch TV. So many people (at lease 55 and under) stream all shows and news.
