I had emergency surgery abroad due to ovarian torsion that led to a stage 4 endometriosis diagnosis. When I was back in the UK the waitlist for surgery (the only treatment) was over a year. My only regret is that they couldn‘t operate me twice abroad! Would have saved me so much pain. The GP also asumed I‘d lost my ovary because ususally in the UK they are too slow to save it! So I‘m really glad it happened the way it happened even tho it‘s so scary in the moment.
