Just save yourself a bunch of time and calculations and just do public transit. Buses and trains.

The solution is to have a public transport system that takes regular commuters that make up the majority if city traffic off the roads. This actually give more space to car enthusiasts who enjoy driving

Pausing halfway through, I’m not sure the distribution would be 50/50, because of bias from left to right and vv , especially when it comes to which side of the street people drive on, and which is a passing lane, and safety and distance considerations specific to the area.

I teresting math problem. but it doesn't reflect real life. also, to do the city segments in one minute, you would have to travel at 25 miles a minute.

The problem os not the newly constructed road. But the amount of cars had increased drastically. On the first scenario there were only 2000 cars all together but at the end there were 4000 cars. Where did all of those cars come from? The more the cars the more the traffic time for which ever the route is. even if there was no new route built, if we have 4000 cars then it will take us 45 min to reach point B. So building the new road will only make things better and not worse.
