Air flow is key to stop mold so the vents shouldn't really covered. especially if you have damp in the lounge

Firmer sofa 100%!! The cushions will naturally soften with use so itll get squishier. The already squishy one will eventually get annoyingly squishy 🙈

Grid bricks…. There air bricks a major part of your house mate. It’s ventilation for behind the brick work and insulation so it doesn’t get damp

Not an expert but air bricks are so the inside cavity of your walls don't get damp, not sure why there would have been one inside though

Have you checked you water metre / usage / pressure (if sealed system like combi) to rule out a leak? Seems a LOT of water on the floor to be damp?!?
