@kerichonationalpoly: Bureti National Polytechnic Welcomes 1,500 Trainees with a Call to Discipline and Focus The Bureti National Polytechnic (TBNP) was buzzing with excitement as more than 1,500 new trainees were officially welcomed during the September intake orientation, a lively event filled with laughter, music and plenty of cheer. Chief Principal Sammy K. Cheruiyot delivered a rallying message to the new trainees, urging them to work the journey with discipline, avoid bad company, and focus on what brought them to Bureti National Polytechnic. Speaking with a mix of warmth and authority, Mr. Cheruiyot reminded the students of the unique privilege of joining one of the country’s few qualifications-awarding institutions. “You are so privileged to learn in an institution where learning materials are in plenty, practical equipment you will be swimming in, educational trips will have you smiling inside our bus — the famous BEAST, co-curricular activities you will enjoy to the fullest, and yes, Wi-Fi is accessible everywhere,” he said, drawing cheers from the new trainees. He emphasized that TBNP provides an enabling environment for academic and personal growth, and encouraged trainees to use their time wisely. “We offer competitive courses that can take you places, even abroad under programs such as Kazi Majuu. You have what it takes to succeed, provided discipline guides your undertakings,” he added. The Chief Principal also highlighted the institution’s upcoming milestones, including its journey toward ISO 21001:2025 certification and the near-completion of the satellite Tebesonik Campus. He called on the local community to prepare to host and support the growing student population. The orientation event also featured a spiritually uplifting sermon by Dr. Clement Nkaabu, who encouraged trainees to stay focused on their educational journey. “Do not let bad company soil your future,” Dr. Nkaabu advised. “Walk this journey with purpose, use the resources available to you, and graduate with your head held high. Bureti Poly is where industry leaders are made.” He concluded with a prayer, asking for good health, steady minds and success for the new trainees as they begin their academic journey. With its serene environment, modern facilities and strong focus on discipline and excellence, Bureti National Polytechnic has set the tone for a productive and transformative term for its newest class.
