My Classic Caramel Sauce Golden glossy unapologetically rich. This is the caramel that ruins you for store-bought. Pour it over ice cream 🍨 stack it on pancakes 🥞 drown brownies in it 🍫 or eat it straight off the spoon 🥄 Save this for every future dessert emergency. Caramel Cake Recipe to follow. Stay tuned. Ingredients: • 2 cups granulated sugar • 12 tbsp unsalted butter (cut into chunks) • 2½ cups heavy cream (room temp) • ½ tsp salt (not optional enhances the sweetness) • 2 tsp vanilla extract (not optional adds warmth) Instructions: 1.	Melt the sugar: In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat add the sugar. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon or heatproof spatula. It’ll clump then melt into deep amber caramel in about 5–7 minutes. Don’t walk away 🔥 2.	Add the butter: Once melted and golden carefully stir in the butter. It’ll bubble aggressively, keep stirring until smooth and combined. 3.	Add the cream: Slowly whisk in the room-temp heavy cream. It’ll foam up at first just keep whisking until it evens out into a silky sauce. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes until smooth and glossy. 4.	Flavor and finish: Remove from heat then stir in the vanilla and salt until fully dissolved and blended. 5.	Cool & store: Let it cool it’ll thicken as it does. Transfer to jars or airtight containers and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. Warm gently before using. Tips: • For deeper flavor take the caramel a shade darker before adding butter • A sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top…adds a perfect finish • Pairs beautifully with anything from vanilla ice cream to apple pie to cinnamon toast • Makes a standout homemade gift! #homemadecaramel #desserttok #bakingfromscratch #caramelsauce #foryoupage
