I totally agree with what she said. In fact, that's also my mentality. But when I'm asked what I bring to the table, and I say I bring myself, do not rush to judge me! Instead, ask me to explain further or to be more specific. When I say I bring myself to the table, I'm not just talking about my physical looks, but also, all my wonderful(mental, emotional, educational, etc) qualities or values. because that is who i am! that is my person. It is when i keep talking about my physical qualities ( beauty), after I must have been asked to be specific, that is when you should conclude that I don't have value.

Go back to the bible and read attentively the roles of each gender. A man was cursed to eat off his sweat and protect,provide plus take care of his family. A woman was cursed to not only carry children nine months each one but to go through near death pain with each one,to do all home duties,clean after her children and husband,take care of her home and make it peaceful for everyone.

Most African men get threatened by a woman's intelligence....a woman that has taken the time to know herself,heal herself from trauma and still showing up,a woman that knows her genealogy,see the pattern/generational curses and dedicated to ending those curses for the next generation to come...A woman that will hold him when he needs to be caught. Such women are always tagged, you know too much, and it will be difficult for you to settle down because you are selective. The bitter truth is that both men and women are not asking the nessecary question in getting to know and understand themselves to be self-aware enough to even nurture children. Some of us will choose to be childless if we are not doing it with a partner who is self aware and why he's even bringing a child into this world in the first not just for the sake of being a parent. This goes both ways!
