Everybody that's saying use clamps must not do many brakes jobs, because while clamps can be used in most instances, that tool is more efficient and easier to use.

Until til you realize most new vehicle calipers need to be wound back in, no long compressed. Wish we could still just compress the calipers.

Not the only tool needed for a braje change. Nor is this tool a show stopper for a DIYer. Now I’ll admit it’s handy ( I have one ) for calipers that merely need to be compressed.
