I disagree. I am a dog care specialist. If the body language is fearful this is a great way to disarm their fear. Does it put you in a bit of risk, yes. But you aren’t big and towering over them anymore

My dogs do that as soon as I lay down and they have never had any trauma (had them both since 6 weeks old). She is the bestest girl. She needs all the love and all the treats.
