A few months back, I was talking with my mom about this topic one night, and we discussed the akhirah and jannah, and imagined what it could look like. A few days later on Eid Al-Adha during the Fajr athan, she unexpectedly passed away. Her phone was playing a random shuffle playlist of the Quran at the time of her passing, and I went to check what surah was playing, and it was Surah Ad-Duha, specifically the verse “And the Hereafter is certainly far better for you than this one.” SubhanAllah ♥️Allah yerhamha

My sister in law died last Sunday. She was a beautiful woman. She worked in the home from when she was a child. She never did anything for herself, she just served her family. I felt so sad for her. This was sent to comfort me.

To be honest, as someone with depression, i yearn for death and at the same time be so afraid of them. i yearn for death because I've sinned too much and I don't think being alive for a few years more would help but I'm so afraid of death because if I die, it would be too late. I've always read about regret after death and since we are dead already, the regrets are meaningless. We can't ever, ever, go back to life to fix our mistakes.

I leave for work just when Fajr is starting so if I read Fajr I have to leave a few minutes later. When I make the sacrifice and read Fajr quickly before leaving and when I leave without reading Fajr, I somehow reach work at the same time. And that's how I realised time is truly an illusion under Allah's control and He will make it work for you if you make it work for Him💛

other interesting thing is the Quran 18:17 says: "And you would have seen the sun, as it rose, inclining away from their cave to the right, and as it set, declining away from them to the left, while they lay in its open space" as if the prophet (pbuh) is literally there & he can see them & Allah swt is showing them to him & talking about them.

I totally understand this concept however as humans with our limited minds only know how to grasp the “reality” that’s in front of us. So while it is delusional we really can’t comprehend anything different. We are living through this moment in life right now however delusional it might be so why not try to make the most of it while also keeping faith that this is temporary and there is something better after this? I think sometimes this topic is taken negatively and leaves you feeling like nothing is worth it and without purpose in your life. Just wanted to reframe the thought process a little.
