You should have pulled your son from the game as soon as that player was allowed to continue to play. That kids back was broken and the entire coaching/ref staff allowed him to continue to play. Prayers are a nice thought but mean nothing without action.

Look in the mirror. When you give violent assaults cute names like “pancake” you immediately start condoning the action. It was straight up assault and apparently the coaches don’t have enough common sense to hold player accountable.

No…we don’t continue to play for a coach that doesn’t immediately bench the kid who did this. Respect to the boys for praying, but we need to learn as parents to stand up when something isn’t right.

Went and found the video just to come back and say with confidence, 3 players praying does not counteract the actions of the rest of the team. KC coached should be removed immediately just like 73 should have been from the game.

this video is very sweet. but as someone who knows the young man with the injury and saw videos of what went on at the game while he was on the ground, I have to say that KC still needs to face punishment as do the refs that were there. the other school also needs to face punishment tho too because they did nothing either in that moment such as forfeitting the game to prevent other injuries. KC also has a history of being extra violent as well. maybe you, as a parent, should rally other parents and go to the school board to enact change

It was assault. The kid should be put in handcuffs. Multiple lawsuits should be handed out. And from what I heard he barely got any real consequences (as of rn w the school and shi but correct me if I’m wrong). The school should expel him. He should be kicked off the team and never allowed to play

The coaches and refs should be fired after that and 73 should never be allowed to play again. He could have killed him. Good on your son and his friends for having some humanity and humility. I hope they face no negative consequences for the actions of their coaches.
