Part of the problem with words is they technically all our creations and constructs. Words and definition are for communication. As long as all members of a particular group agree that the word means that that’s what it means. Also, as a point of reference, Charles’s definition requires scientific factual data that didn’t exist at the time the word was created. It’s complicated so clearly his definition has changed and evolved from the original. The simplest definition of a woman might actually be someone that isn’t defined as man - that is also incredibly inprecise and a terrible definition. In my opinion. I’m not agreeing with any of these debate positions. I’m just working thought the logic. I believe the question is flawed - and both replies are inaccurate.

That IS a definition, tho. We self-identify as things all the time. Woman, the gender, is no different. Also who fucking cares? Why are you so weird that you care about what’s in other people’s pants
