I’m not here to defend Shen Wenlang for what he said to Gau Tu, but if you analyze his actions, you can somehow understand why he reacted that way toward him. 1.) Growing up, he really hated omegas, and then suddenly he found himself having slept with the very thing he despised the most. Naturally, he felt disgusted. 2.) He doesn’t even know who he slept with. 3.) For ten years, he has known Gau Tu only as a beta. 4.) His jealousy toward Gau Tu’s imaginary omega. It’s normal to act carelessly when you’re jealous—imagine feeling jealous over nothing. 5.) He didn’t want to be misunderstood by Gau Tu, so he answered defensively to Gau Tu’s hypothetical question. But what exactly was there to be misunderstood? When Shen Wenlang said, “Obviously, I’d tell them to get rid of it. Disgusting,” Gau Tu might have thought, “What if that omega were me? Would you still say that to me?” But remember—Shen Wenlang doesn’t know that Gau Tu is actually an omega and doesn’t know that it was Gau Tu that night. So what do you expect him to say when Gau asked that question? Of course, he would deny taking responsibility, because in his mind, it wasn’t about Gau Tu. 6.) Gau Tu knew it all along. He had the power to change everything—the advantage and the disadvantage were both in his hands. All he needed was to speak. To confess. But he didn’t. He chose silence. He walked away from Shen Wenlang because he couldn’t get the answer his heart was desperately searching for. 7.) What if Shen Wenlang had said, “I WOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY”? Would that have been enough? Would Gau Tu have stayed and revealed the truth? No… probably not. Deep inside, he would still choose to hide, too afraid of being exposed by the truth he carried. And yet, if he had confessed, maybe—just maybe—things could have turned out better. 8.) In the end, they were both fools when it came to love. The simplest key—communication—was right in front of them, but they refused to use it. One kept quiet. The other kept throwing words like knives. And so, they trapped themselves in a cage built not by fate, but by their own silence and pride.
