@physics.world2: The Da Vinci Surgical System demonstrates astonishing precision by performing surgery on a corn kernel 🌽. Using robotic arms guided by physics principles of motion, force, and torque, the system carefully slices through the kernel’s skin and then stitches it back together with micro-accuracy. This process showcases concepts of mechanics, kinematics, and robotics engineering, where every movement depends on balance, velocity, and controlled angular momentum. Watching the robot operate on something as delicate as a single corn kernel highlights how physics and technology combine to push the limits of modern surgery and medical innovation. #physics #techtok #surgery #robot #fyp

mind you this isnt a robot, there is a human controlling this off of pure skill and practice

The corn died later due to a cornary embolism. The grape made a full recovery.

It’s ultimately the surgeon manipulating these instruments, not the robot.

I‘ve tried it, ofc not on a human body but it‘s really easy to operate if you are trained and makes medical surgeries so much better✨

Humans are so far behind, this should have been common 30 - 40 years ago minimum

This is showing the precision of a surgeon, not a machine. The machine doesn’t operate on its own.

the cost for supplies not to mention the bot is ridiculous compared to just opening a patient..sometimes they start with a bot and still open. If you have good insurance it's not coming out of the Dr pocket. So they don't give ahit...
It's like talking an all expense cruse when you could have taken the ferry for 50$ but hey it's on your dime so hey whatever most expensive just put it on my tab !!It's rare that you would need such equipment but it does have its place in very complicated cases.

Then you put it to use in a real person that’s breathing and has pulsations in their vessels and bleeds and you realize it’s not all that perfect. Especially in trauma and the hands of people who never got to do open cases who don’t even know how to close layers of abdominal muscles.
