@kararaina_tp: This mini maro was made from harakeke harvested from one of our wahi taonga (Moutoa). The pink through it was natural and actually a surprise. The rau when harvested was initially brown and when I extracted the muka and cleaned it only then was the pink apparent! Heaps of improvements I can make but it feels good to make a piece and then be able to gift it to someone. Especially my mum!
