@waldmanmedia: The numbers check out! The 98’ Queenship Primetime is a semi-custom yachtfisher that blends long-range performance with refined yacht comfort. Built in Canada, her solid fiberglass hull and deep-V design ensure a stable, seaworthy ride, even in challenging offshore conditions. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3412 diesel engines producing over 1,350 horsepower each, Primetime cruises comfortably around 18–20 knots with top speeds approaching 24 knots, while her fuel capacity of over 4,000 gallons gives her true expedition range. Inside, she offers a beam of over 24 feet, allowing for a spacious salon with panoramic windows, a formal dining area, and a well-appointed galley fitted with commercial-grade appliances. Below, four en suite staterooms comfortably accommodate up to eight guests, including a full-beam master with walk-in closets. Her 250-square-foot cockpit is rigged for serious fishing, featuring a fighting chair, in-deck fish boxes, and direct access to the lazarette. The enclosed flybridge offers full navigation systems, redundant electronics, and ample guest seating. With a watermaker, stabilizers, and hydraulic bow thruster, Primetime is engineered for extended voyages without sacrificing luxury. #charteryacht #yachtfisher #yachtlife #sportfisher #yacht

The only problem is that you won’t rent it out 60 days a year.

$2.595mm means that it needs a lot more maintenance than $100k. It must need a full re-power and a bunch of other work at that price

If your math is off it will still pay off in just 5 or 6 years. IOW faster than your home loan is paid off.

Maintenance on a boat like this is going to cost you more like 350 to 500 K a year. Especially an older boat like primetime. From Electrical to hydraulics to the motors it’s a beautiful boat, but if you’ve ever owned a big boat like this, you know something is always breaking or needs to be replaced. And there’s also nothing worse than a big yacht owner that refuses to run an open checkbook program on a boat like this. There is no way on any planet that this boat makes any financial sense for a charter business. Yet I would still love to on her. Any charter ops would just be for the taxman

Maintenance is way too low. Normal rule of thumb is 10% of boat cost is maintenance. Also what’s your insurance is also way way way too low on a 96 footer for a charter boat
