yup. I realized this after I heard so many women finally explain what they meant by "emotional" or "mental" labor. It's just the stuff they keep themselves anxious about. Like they're intentionally dedicating unnecessary mental energy to worrying about these things when as a guy, I don't bother letting that weigh on my mental status. I just get the tasks done as they need getting done, nothing "emotional" or laborious about it. But because I don't have the same mental health problems and don't work myself into an immature tizzy over being and adult, somehow she's "carrying" more of the load. no, we're both carrying the same responsibility, you just decided to make yours harder.
