I have been in their shoes once. Theyr scared. If not for themselves but their families and loved ones. They feel like theyve failed them and are constantly thinking about the suffering their loved ones will go through because of that failure. I will not defend them or feed into their delusions but i feel so bad for them and will keep kind words in my heart for them always

My problem with compassion is that a lot of these people have been expecting this for a year or more. So many have either not cared about making the world a better place or were actively encouraging chaos to usher this in.

My friend grew up with parents like this, and she is the most mentally unstable person, riddled with depression and anxiety, that began as a child, because of the church. My heart breaks for all these children who have probably been petrified and I shudder to imagine what they have endured.
