We have moms come nurse all the time. It is no big deal.

Didn’t think we could say no to this. Or shame mothers.

Where I live it's illegal to day no to this. Nursing moms need to be accomdated! as a nursing mama myself who runs a daycare I 1000 percent support this. I would do anything for a nursing mama. its important that baby has that. shouldn't have to use a bottle which isn't natural

This really seems like a reasonable accommodation. Childcares in my state are highly encouraged to allow this, though it isn’t mandated. Pumping is very difficult for some women and might be hard enough a mom wants to quit. As a child care provider, mothers need your support just as you need theirs. It’s a partnership.

I had that happen....... it was a nightmare. I give kudos to Mom for trying, but we had to wait for mom to get there . kid would not take a bottle.... this poor child SCREAMING the whole time. I tried everything. it was too much and eventually I think she left..

Had a mom one first day. say.... Oh by the way a speech therapist is coming to your house twice a week. Ummm. No they aren't. Well, that would be easier than me driving child to speech.

It doesn't really matter if you don't agree with the policy. The policy was written and mom signed. If that's not the right care setting for you find something else. You have to follow their rules. They have a ton of kids to look after!

In my area, they can come breastfeed but they also need to drop off a required amount of bottles in order for us to accept them.

I allow moms to come breastfeed their babies all the time, except during nap time. I don’t see what the problem is. Why can’t you carry on with your activities while the mom is there?

As a former daycare worker, this would drive me crazy if a mom wanted to come in several times and then leave. Kids are difficult to soothe after their parents leave and to have to do that multiple times with other kiddos watching and wanting their parents would be such a pain.

I let a mom do this. It was awful. Had to wait for mom to get there and sometimes it’d take 30 min. It was a freaking nightmare

I think in California you have to let them.

in Ireland, employers have to give breastfeeding/pumping breaks to mother's, on top of lunch breaks

Meanwhile I’m trying to figure out how to sneak into daycare for my kid’s parent teacher conference this week, cause it’s gonna disrupt my kid’s day so much if he sees me 😅

We had a mom do this, she was a nurse and worked well for everyone. She would just let us know when she would be coming by and we would tell her if we were inside or outside
