I stand by 2010-2013 being middle school core in terms of pop music and memes so I do believe that Millennials started Superwholock but I assure you my middle school was FILLED with Superwholocks

SuperWhoLock is a great example of why millennials get called cringe by so many GenZs. Millennials are unabashedly nerdy. In these online spaces, where the algorithm is fueled by our interest, of course most of the people in this comment section are SuperWhoLock fans regardless of generation. But that does not mean the GenZs here are the majority of their generation.

can I just share superwholock gave me one of my favorite random ships as a teen ( 98 here ) the Clara Oswald and bucky Barnes ship and it all started cause of the multiple Clara things and that jenna was in first avenger for less than 5 minuets and people RAN with it connie became a Clara clone 😂

1998 gen z here: we were DEEP into superwholock. I was 13 in 2011 (now 27) and my whole group was obsessed. We definitely didn’t create all of the culture but we were raised in it lol 😂

I can see older Gen z being insanely protective of superwholock. They would have been consuming a lof of the content during their formative years on the internet (middle school and high school). Older Gen z also has way more in common with most millennials than they do with younger Gen z

I think its just a staple of both Gen Z childhood and Milennial Young Adult-hood. Like to me superwholock evokes middle school vibes. Thats also why I think millenials get labelled as “cringe” so much cause to GenZ it looks like they are adults engaging in childhood interests
