I never avoid a Librela comment section. My dog suffered horrible neurological symptoms after one Librela injection. He had no neuro issues prior to that. Within a month, we euthanized him due to poor quality of life. After he had a massive seizure. He could barely walk, and he was constantly falling down and hurting himself.

8 months in with this medication without issue. My boy had a horrible stroke today. I didn’t know the risks. I regret it so much.

I am dealing with this too. My boy got his injection Monday and the past couple days he is loosing control of back legs. He was running zoomies before. He has some hip issue so vet said this was a great med and I should do it. This is awful. I feel so guilty.

I totally agree with you. My dog is 5. She had several Librela injections. Since that time, she has had so many health issues. High WBC count and issues that I believe are because of this medication. I would not recommend this drug.

I’m so sorry. My 12 yr old Gracie was on it. I’m sorry your vet did not go through these. Mine fortunately told me. However, after a year and a half she’s off it now. It worked well, and then since June she’s had a lot of health issues. Her back end lowering a lot, and urinating too much with and drinking a lot. Which after 3 months off , it went away. I really hope it wears off and it’s not permanent. I’m glad you are spreading awareness. My vet felt bad about Gracie. But she had no pre existing condition as well.

I am so sorry this happened to you. My Vet tried really hard to get me to use this, 2 years ago, on my blind boy with arthritis. I’ve refused because a friend of ours dog had issues from the injection and my neighbors dog has had issues from the injection as well, after only the 2nd dose.
