For indoor use you can put a piece of duct tape on the bottom. This is what they had us do in my childhood tap lessons so we weren’t a fall risk LOL still made tap sounds but less slippery

Just be careful with tap shoes on concrete, it can create sharp edges from scratches that can in turn scratch you (from someone who has scratched themselves with tap shoes after practicing on concrete 😔)

So fun fact for everyone, the main risk of these cosplays is slip on smooth surfaces. The main types of floors that can be damaged by tap shoes or literal horse shoes will be wooden floors, or floors of similar softness. Ceramic tile don’t gaf. Concrete don’t gaf.
