One thing I got super lucky on was my mom did not instill the rapture fear in me. She was scared of it so all she would tell me was that it was scary and something that wouldn’t happen in my lifetime.

I grew up mormon and it's pretty similar to your experience, i was always told that we couldn't predict it so every night I would predict that it was tomorrow before I went to bed, I spent a long time when I was 10-12 feeling guilty because me and other children who did the same were the reason that "the second coming of christ" hadn't happened yet
