Isn’t it like super easy to fix this? Doesn’t the bank just go see who cashed the check because they take your ID and then give her her money back and prosecute them?

Nope… I always put envelopes inside mailing offices that have them. NEVER on those outside.

Washing of checks across multiple post offices in NC. Post offices have to be involved. There’s no way this is so widespread without organized crime within.
