i remember i created a human empire were i wanted to unite the.galaxy and othe races under one unified flag like some gracious leader......but then i started to notice all the alien races populations i conquered or assimilated started to drop down.....only later did I realize i didnt change my xenophobic policy and still had sterilization edict on

My second playthrough I wanted to play as nice collector robots but got 2 wars back to back with more powerful imperiums, got vassalized. I spend like 150 years getting to the point where I was ready for war (trying to stop being a vassal is hella annoying when your master is constantly at war) and after all that I decided to make them into fuel. I love this game so much
