That’s learned helplessness—it tricks you into giving up before you even try. The sad part is the system reinforces it: corruption, unemployment, and the global narrative that Africa is “poor” make people think the only way forward is waiting for outside help. But that’s not the full truth. Across the continent, young people are building businesses, creating tech solutions, and pushing for political change. The danger isn’t just the challenges themselves—it’s the mindset that tells you your effort doesn’t matter. Once you break that belief, you start seeing opportunities that were always there.
