this isn't cheating! this is collaboration, and, most importantly, EVERYONE IS HAVING FUN. The GM isn't burnt out and frustrated, the players get to come up with creative solutions together. This is FANTASTIC.

our DM is straight forward that half the time he doesn't write solutions for stuff, either he'll just see what we come up with, or it's meant to be a hazard with no solution as a "HEY DON'T FUCK WITH THIS THING" kind of warning

my bf DMs 2 games a month and has a standing rule that he's god, so he can change it up on the fly. but more importantly- if its funny, he'll give you the chance to see if it works. His players love it, once a friend of ours had a character that could turn to a gas form and back (i missed some details, I was half listening from nearby) and he allowed the player to un-fart himself into a bad guy, go back to real size, and explode said baddie. also another player almost choked to 💀 on a bodyguard that he hoped to swallow whole. bo worries. they saved him in time and the blockage became a weapon 😂😂😂
