Funniest thing is that the ATF is a federal institution, and cannot pass laws themselves. They have to go through Congress so anything they say until it is put in legal writing through the judicial system is null and void

I hate this misconception that the ATF isn’t allowed to make regulations. They are, and it is explicitly outlined by the constitution. Can you argue they overstep? Sure. But this is just spreading misinformation. Fixing the issue requires facts not a regurgitation of myths and ideas

Agencies can make laws when given the ability to by congress, the atf has been given that ability. You may not like them, but they are allowed to.
