don't forget the fact that in game, it was said that she has tons of scars on her arms, and when doing the archon quest she has scars because her blood has healing properties.
...but when you look at her, there are no scars anywhere. it's a very important part of her character considering her lineage and the scars are nowhere to be found

God forbid a woman dresses how she wants. You’re saying she shouldn’t dress like that because it’s cold in her region but seem to have forgotten that her people are natives of that land. Genshin made a character fit their myth and you’re saying she should dress up because it doesn’t fit how you see her

she's so gorgeous but it really irks me when I think about how people would have despised her if she was from Natlan 😭

must a woman be fully covered to be respected by society? last time I checked no, plus hers actions speak loudly and clearly, her people respect her for THAT not for a piece of garment

I feel like ppl in the comments don’t understand this. She was made this way purely for fanservice, she’s a beautiful character but she is not accurate to the goddess at all, whether it’s clothing or her role/story, so no, women do not have to be covered to be respected but like I said she’s made in this way for fan service, if she wasn’t people specifically men wouldn’t pull for her

It's so annoying they attack Natlan desings for being fan service but then aprove Lauma's desing? both are innaccurate and fan service

They used the culture as as excuse for fanservice.
Hoyo hates being culturally accurate and loves fanserives, its not like they had their hands tied and were forced into making her fanseirved. They used the culture as an excuse to push how fanserived character designs are with less critisism

The “she lives in a cold region” and “she doesn’t seem like a moon chanter” is so real. She seems like an actual deer or fae or fairy 😭 than a moonchanter. I still LOVEEE her design though. One thing that I just wish they added is healed scars, you’re telling me her hands had a ton of scars but in game it’s clean? It would’ve be amazing if they added it [happy] but Genshin left designs that made sense in Fontaine 💔😔 well, I guess the character designs are still nice.

To be fair genshin remains a fantasy, she is clearly not human, and baltic regions are really cold for me so the fact that she is not dressed enough for cold region doesn't concern me, the problem is the status that was given to her it doesn't make sense

let's be real, the whole mythological "inspiration" is just an excuse to make another hypersexualized character

idk as someone from a Baltic county i have to say that she really has basically no representation. she feels way more Nordic/ Scandinavian

The Master’s canonical husband :
if she had a fur coat or like boots with the fur (get it) and her dress covered legs more or if she wore warm tights then i think she would've been very appropriate to the cold region. i could even image her wearing this which would represent how she has high status:

my 2 cents as a finnish person whose family originates from karelia: the frostmoon scions are culturally inspired by ancient finnic paganism and lauma’s role fills all the characteristics of a shaman typical to our traditions, yet she’s dressed nothing like one. the frostmoon scion npcs are dressed a bit more similar to where the inspirations are drawn from, but the only thing connecting lauma’s clothing to the fashion of the rest of her community is the color of her dress; i wish her visual design honored the shamanic traditions of our ancient religion a bit more. i also wanna point out that portraying indigenous women in revealing clothing that clashes with the real cultural practices or climate-appropriate clothing is historically rooted in colonialist assumptions and fantasies of the ’exotic’ and ’savage’ indigenous women, and this untruthful image has been used as justification for conquest and assimilation
