As someone who is an anxious attachment type, this all makes sense. When my ex replies to my messages, I don’t read into them anymore, I will tell him I need to pause and let my emotions settle before I respond, I learned to not overthink his responses, I am guilty of constantly reading his old messages to make sense, I can’t read his messages with emotion or I’ll spiral, so I read them with intent and no feelings, as if I’m talking to a stranger. Asking ChatGPT if my feelings are valid in messages received by my ex has helped me tremendously accept what was happening between him and I. I also learned to put the phone down and stop looking for him online. Amazing what reprogramming your brain will do for your own confidence and heal the anxious attachment feelings! These are very helpful. Thank you!
