I just downloaded the full cheat engine and it's been absolutely wonderful. no contact damage, no environmental deaths, one second silk regen, one hit kills, infinite rosaries, skills cost nothing etc etc. I've been able to explore and face the difficulties to my heart's content and at a level I'm comfortable with at a pace I prefer playing at and because of that it's been truly an amazing game.

let me make this simple. You need to play games like the devs made it. Not talking about bugs or performance, Im saying gameplay and difficulty. If the game has easy, normal, hard, inferno, then you play whatever you want. If a Souls games has Summons, you can use them, the Devs made it so. But if the game is unique difficulty, THEN YOU PLAY IT AS IS, OR THE GAME AINT FOR YOU. Stop ruining your experience, it was made challenging so you feel how you overcome every step, dont ruin it. period.

There are literally 2 "bad" runbacks in the entire game btw. For Last Judge and Groal The Great. Every other runback takes max 10 seconds.
