I had to grieve the mother I should have had, and accept the fact that I needed to be my own mother. I had to take care of me, because she never did. I never had a mother, I had a monster. My mental health matters more than her pride. That has freed me from feeling guilty. I feel the same as you do. I went no contact 2 yrs ago. It was necessary for me, and the peace ✌️has been well worth it. I've finally been able to relax enough now to find little bits of happiness. Thank you for sharing 💜 I'm glad you have also freed yourself from the chaos.
