My cousins son is high functioning autistic so his mother (my cousin) went to get tested and now claims she is also. I’m just like ok….🙄🙄🙄

I was more freaked out by the video reply because this could have gone either way. I’ve followed you since 2020😅 could have gone either direction but I do agree, I’ve only been gently researching due to the symptoms showing up. Kid is a girl-has had adhd dx since 5 yo, anxiety dx at 7 and medicated for both. “Level 1” is all I expect out of a ed dx or medical.

My son. Intellectual Delay for sure. Diagnosed Level 1 autism at 14 but FOR SURE 10 years ago it would be Asperger’s. He is 16 and just now becoming more social. He stims for sure. Has some sensory processing issues but the Intellectual Delay is what causes him the most “problems”. Without the ID the autism would barely affect him.

Don’t know any info by statistics but is there a chance of it just being overused. Essentially if you need to ‘score’ a 10 to fit the mold but your like a 9.8 and whoever is diagnosing just gives it to you. Almost to the point of malpractice. Also I don’t think you are but i wish people would stop looking at SPED kids like they are less, like okay we will just go throw them out into the portables behind the school and think nothing of it.
