i have an autistic kid and it is 100% my wife's fault for taking Tylenol during her pregnancy. I would say more on this but I need to go sort my Legos by color, shape, and date of manufacture otherwise I cannot function today.

My autism was definitely from mom’s Tylenol use and not my Dad’s fault at all, he was busy putting an entire historical building back together by matching each original brick placement

LITERALLY— after I got my diagnosis, I never looked at my dad the same, like how did ANYONE think he was neurotypical

My dad owns every National Geographic ever produced. But she was willing to overlook it for a green card. She now wonders why 7/7 of her grandkids have autism.

It’s definitely my mom’s fault. She took Tylenol and got me vaccinated, all while my dad was out in the garage tearing apart and rebuilding junk cars he bought from newspaper ads & struggling with substance abuse (because he was undiagnosed)

As an autistic person it’s difficult for me not to take this literally. Good for you for figuring out neurotypical sarcastic humor. 😂

Everyone else: Your parents are so normal, where did your autism come from?
My Dad: *Obsessing over and rewatching Star Trek while also collecting Train stuff.*
My Mom: *Rewatching Star Wars and creating a huge library of books on self-sufficiency*
Me: Absolutely no clue.

My mother called me to apologise for taking Tylenol while she was pregnant and making me autistic. She must have taken a ton of it because it even infected my dad with "spend 20 minutes in one aisle of a hardware store carefully selecting the right screws" disorder.

I'm not sure if my Autism comes from my mother who can name any flower and tell you its exact water, light and soil conditions or from my father who can name any car from the 1960s/1970s by the headlight or front grill and also tell you why "It's a 1963 and not 1964 because that year the headlights were round instead of square..." blah bla. It's a toss-up😂😂

While I was taking Tylenol for a herniated disk during pregnancy my sons father was reorganizing his collection of 10,000 baseball cards, sports memorabilia collected from yard sales, and re stringing all his shoes to ensure they matched the sports team colors.

it's not the Tylenol that I took it was my husband's need to feel EACH pair of pants in the pants store because they have to "feel right"

my mom did that AND became a process system controls engineer because she "prefers computers to people cause computers are predictable and if they don't do what you expect then you gave wrong directions"

It can skip a generation too, when I wondered about my son, then looked at my father in law, with his stamp collection, limited conversation with the exception of asking, “did you know…” before telling you every possible detail of something quite random.

Yup my mom did the same thing, except she added in her own ADHD to “balance” it out! Now I have a neurodivergence war happening inside of me 🤷🏻♀

I’m convinced that the rise of autism and the fact that it affects men and women differently, is natures evolutionary answer to the male violence epidemic.

I took Tylenol while I was pregnant, so that could be why 1 out of 3 of my children are autistic. I'd ask his father about it, but he doesnt really like conversations about stuff unless its about stuff he is into...or he is intoxicated so that he feels comfortable to socialize like an actual human being 🤷♀
