I'm confused why you're posing the question to begin with. Pokemon don't stay in their mega forms permanently, they are by definition a temporary adaptation for the purpose of fighting. why would it eat anything??? it found a way to adapt its body to fight in a way that goes against its natural form. That's the point

It’s a mega pokemon, it’s only in this form temporarily for like a minute when it bonds with its trainer in battle while holding a mega stone. Victreebel won’t have to worry about any of these issues.
