After all their talk of transparency and reform, they still have no plan for the future. And when they do act, it is to announce “reforms” — magical promises to fix the very same problems they and US created together. The heroin and methadone crisis? Born under US. The missing 50 million rupees? Lost under their watch. Under LDS, funds after funds — explosion fund, environment levy — yet no transparency, no accountability, no justice. Families still waiting. Small businesses in Providence still struggling. Instead of accountability, they distract with blame games. Instead of truth, they recycle excuses. This is not leadership. This is betrayal. For too long, politics in Seychelles has been about ego, pride, and ambition. Both US and LDS have had their turn — years of it. And what has it left us with? Division. Disappointment. Distrust. A true leader is not the one who seeks applause, but the one who carries the people’s burden with humility, courage, and vision. Seychelles needs leaders who serve with principle, not ego. And we remember. The fear and silence of the SPUP and SPPF years. The unkept promises of LDS. Patrick Herminie may talk of change, but he represents that same legacy — the same system, the same recycled power. Seychelles cannot afford to repeat history. This election is about truth, unity, and healing. It is about finally turning the page. With Lalyans Nouvo Sesel, service comes first. Ego has no place. US had decades. LDS had their chance.
