Diversity is almost always a net positive to the society in the long run. But short term fluctuations in social cohesion and stability may create an illusion that unfortunately results in people having takes like these.

People don’t understand that poor wages to us are great wages to people from around the world. You want wages to increase? Stop letting companies replace you with someone from across the world. Corporations are literally thriving off of an unending source of cheap labor (migration). If they relied on domestic labor they’d have to spend much more money on wages to compete
