@jenchecksin: The Protein Ratio Hack ✅ Put To The Test 💪🏼 @Aldi UK I think it’s fair to say that if you were going to buy these items anyway, then great. But if you’re only picking them up for the protein content, this hack can help you see past the marketing and find better protein sources instead. What do you think of it? Have you tried this approach before? #aldi #foodhaul #proteinhack #mounjaro #mounjarocommunity
It’s not advertising that’s it’s High protein to cal ratio though? They’re saying they’re high in protein compared to a standard item. Like those rolls. 13g protein in a roll compared to a normal bread roll is decent

What about sugars? Aldi protein shake 25g protein 201cals 20.9g sugar. A lot of “high” protein products are same from all supermarkets

So a light baby bel at 48cals and 5.5pro is a win? But a boiled egg at 68 cals and 6 pro is a fail?

You don’t have to take it this far, if you’re going to have a normal cheese cake swapping it for the protein ones can help you achieve your protein target. Same for every other product, a pot noodle has 523cals and about 12 grams of protein so swapping to the high protein noodles makes sense.

I review the labels when it comes to high protein food for sure. To keep it simple I check the calories v protein per serving or per item. 10% is the bare minimum except most brands use the marketing gimmick of protein. They shouldn't be allowed to do that but hey ho

Couldn't you just look at the protein per 100g and use the % of protein instead of using calories
