Focus on those transition zones where cold water meets warm. That’s your strike zone. Get your presentation down near the bottom, because that’s where fish hold tight in the coldest water they can find. This isn’t just a Columbia River tactic. It applies anywhere you fish. No matter the body of water, fish are survivors. When you learn how they respond to changing conditions, you can adjust right along with them. That’s the difference between fishing blind and fishing smart.
