The point of Ruskin's division was to show just how complex society can be, and how we all play our own unique role. But it was also intended to define what ‘honourable’ and ‘duty’ actually meant. Because an honourable soldier or #doctor or educator is one who works towards their purpose without distraction. They will risk poverty, sickness, and even death for their profession. A lawyer who can be bought is dishonourable. They've betrayed their pursuit of justice. A teacher who knowingly teaches falsehoods, or a journalist who prints propaganda has betrayed the truth. They've betrayed who they are. So, which of Ruskin's professions are you? And do you think you'll always stay true to the #duty that that entails?
