@wefixstupidcomputers: The Commodore 64 holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the best selling computer of all time. It was released in 1982 with a price tag of around $595. The “64” refers to the 64 KB of RAM and it had a MOS Technology 6510 CPU running at 1 MHz. It had VIC-II graphics chip and was capable of sprites and smooth scrolling… making it great for gamers. Programs and games came on a 5 1/4 floppy disk. This is widely regarded as the best-selling home computer of all time, with sales estimates of 12-17 million. It had a huge software library, especially video games, educational programs and productivity software. The C64 played a huge role in making personal computer accessible to the masses. As a little Easter egg, we booted up Star Trek The Computer Game (Trek 64). The sound of the Enterprise beeping and taking off is true nostalgia. . . . . . #commodore64 #commodore #retrocomputer #retrogaming #gamingcomputer

The Atari 8-bit computers run 79% faster, too. (Gotta keep the old rivalry going!)

...you forgot... it has a cartridge slot too. It changed from having programs, to utilities like a fast loader. And it had kilobytes. 38911 basic bytes free is ingrained into memory.
