I have skeletal differences from my chimerism! One of my legs is shorter than the other and my skull isn't attached to my spine the way it should, both of which can cause a disabling amount of pain 🥲

I coauthor the top disability law treatise and this is in fact covered in my book in many different ways! you are correct! being intersex is not a disability, but some conditions associated with being intersex can be. the standard is whether it is a substantial limitation of a major life activity

I was born with a prolapse of one of the walls of my heart and pectus excavatum. They don’t cause me any problems but it’s funny how no doctor ever told me these things can be connected to my intersex variation. I had to find it out myself on the internet! We soooo need more human rights-based intersex research + support and actual helpful info about variations from friendly doctors, instead of IGM, secrecy and human rights violations!
