@gmanews: Ininspeksyon nina DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon at Independent Commission for Infrastructure Special Adviser Benjamin Magalong ang isang pumping station sa Tondo, Maynila. Ayon sa DPWH, umabot na sa halos P900M ang nagastos sa proyekto mula pa noong 2017,pero hindi pa raw napapakinabangan.

Sec Dizon, honorable mayor Isko Moreno, Seek help of an external expert on pumps engg, like Japan TOYO engg, oe EDCOP, from the stn engrs mouths they usually use PUKPUK only, perhaps i suggest we do Breakdown maintenance first, before we budget 100 million again. If its working sometimes thru PUKPUK, and runs again and it can be mere MISALIGNMENT of parts only that can loose contact causing worn out parts only for replacement or over load power . Wala ba sila dyan Experienced know how engr??? However sir if this a VALID finding, the P774-million facility, while physically completed 2020 and paid for, did not have a proper and permanent electrical connection to power grid as a result of failure to coordinate with LGU. This is a fundamental and critical failure that renders the entire pumping station useless. A pumping station is essentially a large, power-intensive machine. Without a power source, the pumps cannot be turned ON, and therefore cannot fulfill their function of moving floodwater. Moreover check if its already UNDERSIZED base on the present increasing volume of flood if Manila, otherwise we really nerd to replace existing pumping system.
