hydropower engineer here, all of our powerplants synchronize automatically, but sometimes it doesn't work, and operators need to do it manually.

So if a higher-power generator, such as a 1350 MW generator from a boiling water nuclear power plant, is poorly synchronized, it will cause a blackout if the safety systems do not act, of course, as happened in Spain due to a mismatch in the electrical grid with photovoltaic generation.👀☠️💥⚡
