Hey from a machine rental guy, you can put a hose on the water outlet on the machine instead of emptying this way.

Honey, you just need to vent the house... when you are home open the windows and let the air in. We in Europe don't have problems with this because "luft" our homes daily.

My house has one of these in every room, and we have to empty it every 2 hours it was so annoying my mom decided to spend the money and got a machine installed on the ceiling that had pipes to our garden so we don’t have to keep pouring the buckets every 2h (it was expensive but worth it)

If you have a basement you might be able run it to the same drain your furnace condensation line runs to. No more daily emptying.
