I got a dark theory. The Gem Rejuvenator was a tool Pink Diamond would use on Spinel when she got out of line or wanted to reset her. That’s why Spinel is so unstable, when Steven hit her with it, she didn’t even know her own name when she regenerated, she had so many resets. Because don’t you find odd that Spinel had that kind of tool on her?

The only thing I can say about the diamonds were that they were all dealing with a different type of processing and grief with blue, not wanting to throw anything of her sisters away, but not really able to deal with any of her other stuff yellow just wanting to throw everything away and forget about it while white pretty much pretended like never happened

It’s sad with spinel, but when pink was getting her first colony, the diamonds wanted her to mature, and the only way she could do that is leave that immature stuff behind. It’s sad that she couldn’t just regift spinel to somebody or she didn’t think of that but also, I do see why innocent everything happened the way it did because she was trying to mature. She just got back into so many corners but yes, I still do agree poor spinel, but I do love pink.

in her defense she is a naive child basically trying to do her functioning purpose which is to be pink diamonds friend. and naive children listen to orders even if they don't make sense they just listen to those they trust and spinel trusted pink with every fiber of her being. so when pink told her it was a game and stand very still spinel trusted that it was a game and it was going to be fun. it's not until the force of reality hit her which is when Steven's message got to her was when her whole world was officially shattered and morphed into something darker and she lashed out because she simply didn't understand better. she was hurt and angry and blinded by that it's not until she actually stopped and started to break down was when she questions what is she doing and why does she want to hurt these strangers so badly. . this is also accurate to real life on why hurt people can hurt other people without knowing why they want to hurt other people. they were all naive children once that had their whole world shattered and they lashed out because of it . I know spinel isn't actually a child because gems don't actually have kid forms but we do know that gems can have younger mentalities or behaviors that display that they are younger mentally than older longer existing gems like amethyst for example. she was a lot more wild and kind of a bubbly child but then over time she was still wild but had this underlying angst about her because of the shame she unintentionally was raised with. and also pink diamond herself displayed immature Tennessee and she's a diamond!

love LOVE pink, but this was messed up. in pink's honor i will defend, the reason pink didn't come back to get spinel connects to her inferiority complex. bit ignorant, but she thought that spinel wouldn't honestly stay there for 6000 years bc pink CONSTANTLY underestimates her power over other gems.
